The College of Nursing is nationally known for research in the management of chronic illness, from prevention to palliative care. Innovative aspects of this research include the use of technology to improve the continuity of safe, patient-centered care and the quality of patient and family outcomes.

Research in the College of Nursing is organized into two broad-based categories:

Healthy Families and Populations - focused on health promotion and prevention.

Chronic Conditions - focused on long-term management of disease, chronic health problems, and illness.
