Post Masters Certificate

Required Materials:

  • Complete MSU’s Lifelong Education Application available online at http://www.reg.msu.edu/ROInfo/EnrReg/LifelongEducation.asp.

  • Complete the Post Master’s Certificate Program Application and mail to:
      College of Nursing
      A117 Life Sciences
      Michigan State University
      East Lansing, MI 48824-1317
  • The Post Master’s Certificate Program requires three (3) references from persons in an educational, administrative or collegial capacity who have worked closely with you in the past five (5) years. At least one must be from an employer. It is important that at least one of the three persons have first-hand knowledge about your clinical competencies in nursing.

  • A resume must be presented as documentation of years of clinical work experience. All applicants must have one year of clinical practice as a Registered Nurse in the United States prior to the clinical sequence of courses.

  • At the time you file your application, arrange to have sent to the College of Nursing two (2) official transcripts from each college, university and school of nursing attended. These transcripts should cover all academic work completed to date. All transcripts sent directly from another school become the property of Michigan State University and cannot be returned to the applicant. Since this a non-degree program, please take care to send transcripts to the College of Nursing specifically and not the University in general. Transcripts should be sent to address above.

  • Applicants admitted to the program must hold a current license to practice in the United States and be eligible for Michigan license. Evidence of licensure must be submitted with the application. The license to practice must be free from restrictions or limitations.
